The Kidde P3010K-CA Worry-Free Talking Smoke Alarm is powered by a sealed, long-life lithium battery that lasts for ten years (the life of the alarm).

It has a Hush button to temporarily silence nuisance alarms and there's no battery to replace for the life of the alarm (10 years).

This alarm uses photoelectric sensing technology for the smoke alarm. Photoelectric sensing alarms may detect visible particles (associated with smoldering fires) sooner than ionization alarms.

Ionization sensing alarms may detect invisible fire particles (associated with flaming fires) sooner than photoelectric alarms.

Kidde strongly recommends that both ionization and photoelectric smoke alarms be installed to help insure maximum detection of the various types of fire that can occur within the home.

Features:

• 10-Year Sealed Lithium Battery: Eliminates the need to replace the battery for the life of the alarm (10 years). Battery activates automatically when the alarm is attached to the mounting bracket.

• Photoelectric Technology: May detect visible particles (associated with smoldering fires) sooner than ionization alarms.

• End of Life Notification: Ten (10) years after the unit is first powered, the alarm will chirp twice every 30 seconds to indicate it is time to replace the alarm.

• End of Life Hush Feature: Allows temporary silencing of the End of Life chirp for 3 days at a time, extending the alarm’s life for a maximum of 30 days.

• Multi-function One Button Design:

  • Hush® Feature: Temporarily silences nuisance alarms for approximately 10 minutes (smoke must be present before Hush® is activated).

  • Test Feature: Simultaneously tests the unit’s electronics and verifies alarm operation.
